Halal meat delivery in Clifton, Bristol
Clifton and the Whiteladies Road side of BS8 are on the round. The village, the streets down to the Triangle, and the university halls are all covered. There is no halal counter on this side of town, so this comes to the door instead.
Orders from Clifton tend to lean towards the better cuts: chops trimmed a particular way, whole chickens, lamb diced for slow cooking. That is where cutting to order earns its keep, since you say how you want it at checkout and it gets done that morning rather than pulled from a freezer.
Students in halls and shared houses should order together. Four or five people clears the £55 minimum easily and splits the delivery charge down to almost nothing each. Mince, wings and diced lamb all freeze well enough to cover a term.
Halal meat delivery for Bristol university students
Halls and shared houses across Clifton and the Triangle are on the same round as everyone else, with a couple of things worth knowing. Put the block and room number in the address, not only the postcode, since that is what actually gets a driver to the right door. For a shared house, one person orders and the rest transfer their share afterwards. Chicken thighs and diced lamb are worth buying in quantity, because they freeze and thaw without turning to mush, unlike most things a student kitchen produces.
Halal meat delivery to Clifton: questions
What does delivery cost to Clifton?
Delivery to Clifton is £7. It's calculated by road distance from Fishponds, not by weight, so splitting an order between flatmates does not change the charge, only the address does.
Is the meat halal?
Yes, all of it. It comes from a halal wholesaler supplying butchers across Bristol, cut and packed to order the morning it travels. Ask about the certification and you will get pointed straight to it.
When will my order arrive in Clifton, and does it suit halls?
Order by 2pm and it goes out with that day's run, later and it moves to the next one. You choose the actual slot at checkout, evening included, which usually suits halls better than a fixed morning window ever would.
Can I choose how the meat is cut?
Yes. Say what you want in the notes, chops cut a particular way, chicken jointed, lamb diced small, and it gets done the morning it is packed rather than pulled from a freezer.
